Drug Encapsulation
With our nanotransporters we are able to encapsulate highly hydrophobic & hydrophilic drugs. One of the tested drugs has been doxorubicin. These nanotransporters are also useful for the encapsulation of vitamins (A, B2, B6 & D3 have been tested).
The benefit with the nanotransporter lies within the increased solubility of extremely hydrophobic drugs, with the release and the EPR (enhanced permeation & retention) effect.
To ensure biocompatibility we are working with our non-toxic dendritic polyglycerol.
